Dan Berggren joins SLAC as ARTISTIC ADVISOR

We are honored to announce that Dan Berggren has graciously accepted our offer to become our Artistic Advisor. In this capacity, Dan will provide oversight and recommendations for our concerts, including our annual Adirondack Folk Music Festival. Raised here in the North country in Minerva, Dan has long been regarded as one of the seminal folksingers and musicians who keeps the flame burning for music that has deep roots in the Adirondacks. Whether performing alone or with local favorites, Jamcrackers, Dan is a tradition-based songsmith who writes with honesty, humor, and a strong sense of place. With deep connections to the legacy of Pete Seeger. Woody Guthrie and Cisco Houston, Dan will help us keep their musical legacy alive. Please welcome him with Jamcrackers at Schroon Lake Live this summer on July 19.
