DID YOU MISS OUR 34TH ANNUAL ADK FOLK FESTIVAL?
8/14/2024
On Sunday 8/11 we had our 34th Annual ADK Folk Festival featuring 6 great groups that honored the ROOTS of ADK music. Perhaps the largest crowd ever for our Festival enjoyed gorgeous weather, three great food trucks, great vibes and an ending that JUST barely beat the rain! Special thanks to our volunteers: Sharon Hooper, Louise and Ted Mcclure, Don and Jane Demaio, Heather and Rick Francis, Patty Mangan, the amazing Tony Adamczyk (THE IRON MAN).
Many thanks as well to the wonderful vendors, our three food trucks (HIGH NOON, BUENA COMIDA AND BAB-A-DEW'S WOOD FIRED PIZZA), Tents of Champlain, Robert of Mobile Stage Man, the Town of Schroon, the always available Sue Palisano, Executive Director, Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce, and all the wonderful employees of Schroon that help make this happen!
Of course thanks also go to our fabulous musical groups for the Festival: JAMCRACKERS; E.T.E.; HOUSE OF HAMILL; VANAVER CARAVAN; MATOAKA LITTLE EAGLE AND JULIA HAINES; and THREE QUARTER NORTH. You all made such beautiful music together!
Finally, a shout out to the Sultan of Sound, the Bard of the Board, the amazing RUSS FEHER, whose personal touch made everything sound gorgeous and crystal clear!!
Special thanks to NORTH COUNTRY PUBLIC RADIO, our media sponsor for the Festival, whose on-air promos helped make us so successful all summer long!
Last, but not least, we salute the hundreds of fans, Schroonlakers, tourists, Adirondackers and music lovers who cherish and support LIVE music on Schroon Lake!
we couldn't do it without you!
