DID YOU MISS THE BEST ADIRONDACK FOLK FEST EVER??

This past Sunday, August 13, more than 600 happy music lovers enjoyed a fabulous day of great music, food, vibes and tales of the legacy of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie on Schroon Lake.  Kudos to Dave Insull; Maura and Pete Kennedy; Dan Berggren, the great Peggy Lynn and Dan Duggan (JAMCRACKERS); Livia and Bill Vanaver and all their musicians and wonderful dancers; Cole Quest and the City Pickers (Woody's Grandson and band!); legendary banjo master Tony Trischka; and the Sultan of Sound and "Master" of the SoundBoard, Russell Feher who provided amazing sound all day long (and season long too).

Thanks to to all the Volunteers of the Arts Council,  Chamber of Commerce, Town of Schroon, Tim Surprenant and the great folks at Tents of Champlain; Robert,  for the fabulous Helen Wildman Stage.  Last, thanks to our loyal sponsors:Linda and Tony Adamczyk, Carpenter and Associates, Dan Berggren (our Artistic Advisor); Amy Kutell; Casella Waste Management and Amy and her staff at the Lakeview Inn, where many of our artists were housed this summer!  Thanks, as well, the North Country Public Radio for their on-air promos!

Last, this year's Folk Fest was made possible, in part, with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the NYS Council on the Arts, with support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature and administered by the Adirondack Lake Center for the Arts.

FINALLY, , MANY THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL MUSIC LOVERS, SCHROONLAKERS  AND FOLKS FROM ALL OVER THE ADIRONDACKS FOR THEIR CONTINUING SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING OF  THE AMAZING POWER OF LIVE MUSIC!  PETE AND WOODY WOULD BE VERY PROUD!  LOOKING FORWARD TO 2024!!
